scenography

[of the greek origins σκηνη "scene" and γραφειν "write, describe"] is the art of creating and making a scenic space with the help of artistic and technical means.

The scenography starts with the conceptualisation of the spacial layout and the movements in a scene. The design process includes the stage design, backgrounds, furnishing, props, costumes and also the lighting.
Scenography of equipment incorporates the architectural concept of scenic space and public space, as well as the definition of the "sceno-technic" equipment (disposition of the public, the area of scene, the curtains, etc).

scenography can be:
production or stage design, design work for an event or a booth, the creation of an exhibition space, the layout of an installation or intervention, ...
